i began this series as i first explored and came to terms with my gender queerness. these paintings were ultimately the catalyst for the numerous coming outs i had over the past year; to my partner, friends and family, and at work.

these works are tender, vulnerable, and intimate. i believe that those three factors combined make these paintings some of my best. i hope that other trans folks find self-love and gentleness in this series.
